This tv does do 1080p you just have to set it up on the tv to be able to use it... my tv is useing 1080p perfectly... also if one of your devise puts out a1080i this tv will upconvert the signal to 1080p for you... so ethere way the quality would be the same no mater what... it is a full 1080p tv...

This TV is NOT 1080p. It will not work with a blu ray player or PS 3. Trust me I know. Picture quality from broadcast and DVD is fine. DVR is almost impossible to use. Spend your money elsewhere. Mitsubishi dropped the ball on this one and they know it. It is apparent when you call customer relations.

Toshiba takes digital light processing (DLP) technology into the future with the 62-inch TheaterWide 62HM84 HD-ready rear-projection TV. The 16:9 62HM84 uses a proprietary system called TALEN (Toshiba Advanced Light Engine); based on the Texas Instruments HD2+ DLP chip, it enhances brightness and contrast while keeping the 1,280 x 720 progressive resolution (720p). Toshiba's TheaterWide TVs challenge direct-view CRT models when it comes to reproducing deep blacks and details in dark or shadowy scenes.

What is DLP?

DLP, or digital light processing, is a technology that bounces a colored light beam across an array of hundreds of thousands of hinge-mounted microscopic mirrors attached to a single chip, called a micromirror device (below, pictured with the head of a pin).

Each of the mirrors can be pointed toward or away from the light source thousands of times per second, providing not only minute color detail, but also sharper resolution than even LCD displays.

This set is HDTV ready (it needs an optional high-definition receiver to get HD signals), but it can improve standard-definition video, thanks to Toshiba's multistep PixelPure video processing system, which optimizes the three main picture quality factors: resolution, contrast, and color. All incoming signals are converted by the built-in scaler to match the DLP chip's native 720p resolution.

PixelPure encompasses eight different processing circuits. Among its components are 6.2-million-pixel oversampling (for higher perceived resolution), real-speed progressive scanning (which uses additional sampling points to create smoother diagonal lines), a Magic Square algorithm (for smooth, natural color gradation), Dynamic Contrast Enhancer (for higher perceived contrast and increased color saturation), and Color Detail Enhancer (to maintain fine image detail in color-saturated areas).

DLP technology uses an optical semiconductor, known as the Digital Micromirror Device, or DMD chip, to digitally manipulate light. The chip contains a rectangular array of up to 1.3 million microscopic mirrors, each measuring less than one-fifth the width of a human hair. A DMD panel's micromirrors are mounted on tiny hinges that enable them to tilt either toward the light source (on) or away from it (off), creating a light or dark pixel on the projection surface. The bit-streamed image code entering the semiconductor directs each mirror to switch on and off up to several thousand times per second, enabling the mirrors to reflect pixels in up to 1,024 shades of gray.

The HD2+ DLP chip ensures an ultraclean image by filling in the dimples, or vias, in the mirrors to avoid stray light. It increases both brightness and contrast, resulting in an impressive color-corrected contrast ratio (2,200:1) at 1,100 ANSI lumens. The set's TheaterFine HD Super Fine Pitch screen reduces the physical space between the lines on the lenticular screen, resulting in a finer, sharper, more detailed picture.

Toshiba's DFine Hi-Speed VSM (velocity scan modulation) improves contrast and overall picture sharpness, while the CableClear DNR+ digital noise reduction optimizes poor NTSC signals from antenna or cable, further eliminating video noise ("snow") for a clean, crisp image. Cinema Mode circuitry (3:2 pulldown switch) identifies original film-based content from DVDs, then reassembles the frame sequence to more accurately reproduce the original 24-frame-per-second material.

A 3-D Y/C (4 MB, 10-bit) digital comb filter with Vertical Contour Correction helps eliminate dot crawl and color bleed and significantly reduces detail noise, seen as shimmering or flicker, in complex or intricately detailed scenes. Color temperature controls allow you to adjust white balance. The Warm setting reduces the color temperature to an NTSC standard 6,500 degrees Kelvin and delivers a redder image that is ideal for display in a dimly lit room. Medium and Cool settings provide a progressively bluer image for the best picture as room light levels are increased.

The 62HM84 has plenty of inputs for connecting all your audio and video components. In back you'll find two RF, two composite video, two S-video, and two HD ColorStream component video, as well as a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) digital input. HDMI is an uncompressed, all-digital audio-video interface that supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus eight-channel digital audio--all on a single cable. A set of front composite and S-video inputs make hooking up a game console or camcorder a snap.

Other features include HD Window dual-tuner POP (picture-on-picture) with PIP sound for listening to two programs simultaneously, the new Radiance DC Lamp with high brightness and lower power modes for extended life, individual audio-video settings by input type, sleep and wake timers, Real Speed progressive scanning to create smoother diagonal lines, the Color Transient Improver for sharp transitions on color changes without bleeding, and the Color Detail Enhancer to maintain fine image detail in color-saturated areas.

Aside from the 20-watts-per-channel stereo speaker system, the 62HM84 uses MTS for programming with stereo sound, and SAP for receiving a second audio track in another language. Meanwhile, SRS WOW combines 3-D Sound (simulated surround sound from any stereo audio) with TruBass (yet another low-frequency enhancement) and Focus (which clarifies voices). The StableSound volume leveler eliminates drastic volume spikes while changing channels or during commercial breaks.

TV is overpriced for all the issues.. Ive replaced the bulb in the last 4 months, speaker just stopped working and now the darn thing wont turn on again! I am not about to buy another bulb!!! Come on these manufacturers need to step up their products if they are gonna charge these prices for Tvs!!

I have had this set for almost 3 years and a house move without a single problem. Yes, there is a light spot in the of the screen that is visible when it's not on.. It has not impacted the picture quality that I can decern. Recently, the bulb went. I remembered buying an extend bulb replacement policy. I was told when I purchased the set that the bulbs would need to be replaced. What I did not figure was it would take 3 years for the first bulb to expire and my policy expired in two years.. We have watch at least three hours a day for three years = 3000 hours. not bad.. the extended warrentees was a waste as they tend to be... great technology.. better than my 42" Panasonic the LCD

The TV is good until the lamp breaks. For me this has happened three times so far, every 14 months in average. The worst is now I just bought the third lamp, paid $200, and the thing (I can't call it a TV) doesn't work. So I ended up with a $3000 purchase (this was 2004 and it came with stand) + what I paid for the lamps, and after 4 years and all this money spent I have a non functional TV and a stand. Cheating on your customers? I promised to myself: no Toshiba product ever again for me!

Well we love this TV bought in 04 but have gone thru 4 bulbs. 2 bulbs the repairman confessed the last was an off brand 'generic' bulb and didn't hold up so insist on the Toshibas. THANK THE LORD we bought the extended 4 year warranty giving us 5 years and they said after the 3rd replacement they would now replace the entire TV. Our friends have the same Tv bought before we bought ours and have only had to replace one bulb and their TV is on 9am to midnight daily. Go figure.

I will check this "low" setting aka read the manual. We did buy some $300+ surge protector thing which they said would be murder on the bulbs if we didn't. So happy with Best Buys' warranty and service anyways, they really are excellent with customer service.

BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. This one is totally worth it.

I bought Toshiba 62HM84 in May 2005 and already replaced 4 lamps. I really like the picture quality however the cost to replace the lamp is too expensive. Luckily I bought the extended warranty which covered the lamp replacements. We set it low light and turned on about 6 hour/day. This is the most expensive DLP HDTV unit. Inputs:

It's a big TV, and has lots of inputs. The single HDMI input is a weakness of this set, as there are warnings not to use it with a computer. The 65H94 model has even more inputs, such as Firewire (IEEE 1394).

Screen:

The image is beautiful, but the screen protector has a lot of glare, enough that we have to put shades on the windows. Convergence had to be adjusted; it is fairly easy (it's digital) but takes patience (there are a lot of adjustment points, and you have to do red horizontal, vertical, and blue horizontal and vertical).

Video modes:

The natural mode results in grey areas, which the manual warns can result in burn-in. The other modes clip part of the picture. The only mode that doesn't, distorts the image (proportions are not kept). I wish there had been a mode that filled the screen as much as possible without distorting the image (even if a little of grey showed up).

Sound:

The sound is surprisingly good (especially for a single driver on each side) and has a lot of bass on the "low" option.

Note that the top of the TV isn't flat, there is no place to put stuff on. My previous TV top could hold the VCR, DVD player, etc..., but not this one.

Overall, a good value.

I will say that do not order any big item such as this TV from Amazon. Once your order, you can not return or cancel. Second day after my order, I decided to cancel the order. I was told that I could not cancel it but I can refuse the shipment. Guess what, after I told the shipping company that, Amazon asked me to pay for the shipping twice. Besides Amazon's price not being competitive, the customer support is lacking all the help you can get. Do not order any Projection TV from Amazon, unless you are planning to cancel or change your mind. It is a terrible web experience. I will not order it again from Amazon.

This speaker is great for movies and music alike. It is a "monster" in size, but, it delivers in all the areas a speaker is supposed to. Just make sure you have room to place where you want it. It's a Klipsch with the famous klipsch sound, it looks pretty awesome too!

Make sure you really consider that the footprint of this speaker is 12" deep, about 24 inches left to right, and it weighs over 30 pounds! I mean really plan where exactly you plan to put this thing because it is a monster of a ,especially if you are used to 5.25 inch woofers or smaller units.. I will add that If you want True, clear, sound that can be heard even in lower volumes and wont be drowned out by large Front speakers this is the one for you, but the other reviewer hit the nail on the head when he suggested that if your Sub is decent, the cost vs. benefit of the 6.5 inch woofers over the 5.25" ones in the RC52 is not worth it, In fact I would say that unless you intend on playing music through your channel, go with the 52 which has the same Tractix Horn and clean Dialog from the quality reference crossovers.

I purchased this to replace my Onkyo system. I purchased this RC-62 because it is matched bettter with my RF-82 towers. The sound is awesome - considerably fuller and more vibrant than the Onkyos. Klipsch is known, among other things, for their "horn" tweeters, which produce bright, in-your-face, highs. This works exceptionally well for home theater usage (so you can hear what people are saying in movies and on TV.) That said, I use mine mostly for music, which I think, still works well.

This all said, if I had the chance to do it again, I might opt for the RC-52 instead, and get smaller fronts.. Save money and space. You still need a sub-woofer with either setup and given that most receivers want you to put your crossover at 80hz, the larger woofer size is less important than it would be without a sub.

I purchased my 52 inch Sharp Aquos from Circuit City in April of this year. I am aware that this particular model has been around for some time, and was pleased to have found a dealer that was clearing out its inventory. I purchased the floor model for $1,360. For that price I was able to afford the warranty, HDMI cables and etc... I knew it was a steal and can't complain about any negatives because of the price I was given. I was only shopping for a 42" but once I got the the store, the large LCD's (playing the Transformers movie) really got my attention.

I connect Comcast DVR to an HDMI input for 1080i quality. I watch sports and the picture quality is absolutely amazing. I used to laugh at commercials that advertised Televisions that allowed you to "make the call" whether an athlete goes out of bounds or being able to see strands of hair. I scoff no longer!!! I can literally see individual blades of grass on a football field.

I connect my XBOX360 to the Component input and the quality is very good. I previously had a Olevia 27" LCD that I used for games and I like the Olevia better than the Sharp for gaming. The colors on the Olevia were richer. But, the contrast for the Sharp is better. Go figure.

I connect my Apple computer to the other HDMI input for 1080i quality. Once again, I like how my Olevia looked in this mode better. The Sharp is exactly that: too sharp. Words are hard to read and motion (grabbing windows and moving them) hurts my eyes. Overall it is difficult to sit close to this screen (maybe because of its sheer size).

Currently, I have no HD/Blue Ray player. so all of my movies are played back at 480p. Between the Olevia and the Sharp, the Sharp fares much better in upscaling the image. The Sharp looks great in every mode, but to me does the best in watching SD and HD television. I feel the most awe when in those modes, followed by movies, and finally the Xbox. The Computer connected through HDMI is really not as good as it should be.

The 2 really big negatives are:

1. The strands or bands everyone else complained about. Mine are not that bad. But, I noticed that I have one bright green vertical strand and one barely visible purple strand. I realized finally that these strands correspond to the exact placement of the picture being displayed in HD being upscaled from SD. In other words, when watching sports in HD the picture will either display in full screen or in 4:3 where the picture will fill top to bottom but not left to right. Whenever a commercial comes on, the picture will display the green band purple band to the outside of the picture. When the game comes back on, the bands disappear.

2. Changing the brightness, contrast, or any other picture related setting will change the setting for ALL MODES of operation. For instance, if I want to increase the contrast while playing video games, and then immediately switch to watching cable, the contrast will continue to be increased. I switch back and forth between modes more than 5 times a day and this problem is the worst in my opinion.

Overall this television is very overwhelming, beautiful, full of color and contrast, yet not overly clear in all modes. The band problem is a hit-or-miss problem for some people. If you watch a lot of TV and movies, you will love this TV. If you play a lot of games on PC or Console, this is not your first choice, but maybe top 10.

I have had my Sharp for about 2 months now and have had no problems with it at all. I cannot see any banding, even when looking for it, and no one else who has watched it has been able to see anything either.

My only complaint is the location of the A/V jacks on the back which makes it so you pretty much have to unmount the TV from the wall in order to change something. The simple solution for that, though, is just to run more wires than you need right now. Wires are cheap.

We purchased the Sharp to replace a rear projection HDTV in our family room. A large southern exposure that faces the television made daytime viewing unwatchable due to the glare. The Sharp remains bright & vivid despite high levels of light and windows in this room.

The picture quality is extremely good on HD (crisp & vivid.) SD is fair at best. No visible banding on this yet (perhaps I'm lucky.)

The sound is ok, however it seems to suffer from dips and elevations when switching between show & commercial.

Overall I am quite pleased with the set.

After a year, still no issues. Baseball and Football look great on this LCD. Cable HD stations look great (I wish there were more offerings). The new Xbox360 is also looking great too.

I've got mine wall mounted with HDMI (30' cables!) and Power going through the wall.

If you have tons of money to spend, of course get the best in the market - Sony Bravia series. If not, this TV costs a lot less, but has almost as good image quality as those.

I got a 32" Aquos first, then I fell in love with the TV. I realized it was too small. Instead of returning it, I bought another one - this one. It was an excellent decision. Now it sits elegantly in my living room and provides us entertainment every night. I use it to watch HD channels (free ones...if you have an antenna, you can receive many HD channels) and I use it to watch foreign TV shows (I have a slingbox hooked up to the TV in another country). Of course, you need to connect a pc to the TV......

Overall, I love the TV and my family LOVE it too!

Keep in mind this tv is a replacement for a 13 year old 20" panasonic tv/vcr. This Aquos was a replacement for the first one I ordered. I ordered a 32" one but it arrived with a cracked screen (thank you UPS!). I contacted techforless and they said they didnt have the 32" model in stock anymore, so they cut me a deal with this one, which is from the same series. It took over a week to receive the new tv, so if you're in a hurry keep that in mind when getting an order through eagle service. I ended up paying about $900 for it. I have this tv in my bedroom, so it's a little too big. set up was very easy and the picture quality is superb. After hooking up my xbox 360, I couldnt get any sound to come out. This was fixed by purchasing an HDMI cable. Gaming is awesome on this set along with watching dvds. I dont have a Bluray player yet, so I cant comment on how good that will look.

I was delighted when I received my new 42" Aquos. Everything I expected and more. Unfortunately after about a week it started to experience the banding that I have read about in other reviews. I called sharp, they asked me to send about 5 or 6 digital pictures of the line and give them a couple of day to review them. Three days later I called them back and spoke with a representative who informed me tje TV was going to be exchanged and upgrade it to the LC-42D64U from the LC-42D62U that I had ordered. Because of the holiday season the shipping took a little longer than I would have liked but received my new TV in about two weeks. I was very impressed that they were so helpful and that my TV was replaced. I would not hesitate buying anything else from them.

Since we bought this tv, we have had nothing but problems with it and with Sharp. During the first month, we returned it to the store due to a banding issue. During the second month, we called the company to use the warranty to return it again due to the same banding issue. They sent us a new tv which came with yet another banding issue and dark vertical lines that looked like a burn in. We called the company to use the warranty again and they decided to send us the new model(64U), which we just received. This is our 4th tv which is not a new one, but a refurbished one, that came without the correct mounting screws and without a power cord. The only thing Sharp said they could do for us was send us the cord & screws, so in the meantime we are left without a tv.

We were planning to buy an HDTV for sometime now. My wife did a whole lot of research and we zeroed in on Sharp. Good brand, great looking TV and not as pricey as a Sony...

We have an apartment and the initial few movies took us time to get used to...then we started loving it.

A friend of ours came over and recommended that we need to get a HDMI cable. we got the cable and man what a difference!!!

The picture quality on DVD's is just awesome...I tell you this is a great TV and we love it...we bought it directly at TigerDirect..great site...good service and no complaints...

PS: Dont waste too much time in research....Sony, Sharp and Samsung should be your final three

"Great TV but wish I did more research" 2009-02-20

I have had this tv for about a year and half now and it has never given me any issues. However I bought it on an impulse and regret that as I would have gotten a Samsung instead after doing research albeit after the fact. I have seen Samsungs which definitely produces a truer black than the Sharp.

In hindsight, I would have gotten one with a VGA port on it as well. Currently I am enjoying the 2 hdmi ports and the multiple component ports so I have no issues as they accomodate all my media needs perfectly.

The virtual surround sound is incredible. It works way better than my previous tv (SONY WEGA).

I did not get the extended warranty, and maybe I should have, but if it does go south for me - Samsung is where I am heading!

I bought this Flat screen 14 months ago and main board went out. They told me repair was $1400 and were totally rude when I said TV is one year old and should not have bad board unless board was defective to begin with. Cindy Ranes basically told me to eat the TV and was totally useless to talk to on the phone. I would never buy another sharp product as it seems they make expensive throw away flat screens. Go ahead and buy if you want but be prepared to toss in a year or so as they are garbage.

Problems:

1. banding that everyone talks about

2. picture quality is bad. i tried every setting in the menus to tweak it. color reproduction and fragmentation are the notably bad effects.

3. my remote died after a year. prob due to bad batteries. but nonetheless, other remotes of mine have stood up to that b4.the ergonomics of the remote is horrible btw. really really bad.

Good stuff:

1. surround sound is awesome for a tv. but doesn't matter or come into effect if u use a 5.1 system externally.

Strengths:

- Sharp and crisp image. I'm not a professional, but the image looks just astonishing to me. Took under 30 min to assemble and get going.

- It makes my living room look like amazing.

- Very sleek, very sexy, I love it!!!!

- Costco is having a deal right now where you can get 2 of them for 2100 shipping and tax included!!!!

- get it while you still can!!!

- Eye-popping, jaw-dropping picture quality.

- The 1080p picture was absolutely beautiful.

Weaknesses:

- There's a small delay when switching channels, however this is not a big deal for.

Summary: I had this unit for half a month now, it's just great. Very stylish. There's really nothing for me to complain about except the small delay while switching channels.

This is by far the best TV I've ever had. Although, you should calibrate the colors before usage, as it may be a bit dark on some movies. But after doing so, you'll get one of the best pictures you'll ever see. The colors are rich and the HD is crisp. Blu-Ray is a must, the perfect complement; DVDs are DVDs, you won't get anything better from what they give you. Nonetheless, a DVD still looks very good on this TV. Some of my friends have Samsung plasma displays, and they always comment on how much they love how sleek the TV itself is, and how good the display looks.

I needed a 32" to fit into my entertainment , with top-of-the-line picture quality, HDMI-in ports, and useful options with intuitive controls. I also wanted name-brand reliability.

The Sharp LC32D62U fit the bill perfectly. It has everything the standard user and many technophiles could need, and without too many of the extra useless gimmicky options that only serve to make your life difficult. I'm very pleased!

I definitely recommend this TV to anyone looking to upgrade to 1080p in a small affordable package. I mainly use this to play xbox 360 games which look unbeleivably better in 1080p than 480fuzz. All this throught a component cable too; someone told me at circuit city that you couldn't get 1080p through component, but Microsoft's website said you could, and I am viewing xbox games in 1080p...so...it always pays to get a 2nd opinion. 5 inputs, with two hdmi, gives you a bunch of options, and for 800 bucks, this tv is a very good bargain. I will be in the market for a 52 aquos for the living room very soon. A Sony or Samsung will give you a nice picture too, but Sharp was cheaper, and as much as i love the 1080p pic versus the SD, i couldn't tell that any brand was superior to the other. So price and inputs were the big one for me. This tv is small; you'll want to be no more than 8 feet away, but it is perfect for a gaming tv or a bedroom tv. 1080i comcast cable is extremely bright and vivid over the 480i standard cable. What are you waiting for?? :)

I will preface by saying that I'm not the pickiest person when it comes to TV. That said, this one blew me away. I decided to get a new TV only because my 15-year-old Sony Triniton bit the dust in my last move. I was pretty fond of that old clunker, but now I'm over my grief. The picture quality of the Aquos is amazing, no dead pixels, and the order was processed very quickly.

The picture of the Aquos from Sharp makes for a well defined picture with a nice viewing angle. The control settings on the TV allow for a wide range of options. Picture adjustment is first class, with audio configuration having a moderate number of options available. The different viewing modes allow for wide screen content to be viewed without side empty black space on the screen. The PC connectivity with DVI to HDMI is excellent and is easily configured. Built in speakers have a little trouble with bass sound that will cause a slight rattling but provide very nice HD sound. Gaming isn't a problem on this TV with the PS3 or XBOX 360. Finally the built in surround sound provides for an incredible viewing experience with movies with any home speaker system.

I have had this TV for over a year now. Never had a problem. The picture is great and HD over antenna is amazing.

The Bad:

- not very customizable. the menu options are very limited for such a fine TV.

- You will not be able to connect a PC to it. you have to buy a converter, which costs about $200.

- the speakers are below average. you may need to buy a set of external speakers.

If these minor things dont matter to you, dont look any further. best picture out there.

PROS: Great for a guest bedroom

Con: A connections little awkward and not the easiest to connect to-

I purchased this for the guest room in Dec 2008 @ Office Depot for $500.00. I have a computer ,a game console and a DVD player connected to it. It does everything I expected it to with no problem at all. Switching between the different inputs via the remote control is a breeze. I use an indoor antenna for the set and have had no problems receiving all the digital channels(this was actually a shock since we live out in the country)and free over the air HD. Have never had a problem nor have I had to change the factory settings.Overnighters love it since they can check email, watch DVDs, play games or just watch TV.

My husband likes it so much I am getting him one for his office, to replace the 32" CRT that he has connected to Dish.

When this model came out a few years ago we purchased it mainly because it was on sale and we had a gift certificate. It was our first LCD Tv and was "okay" however, from the first the picture didn't seem as good as the old big box television it was replacing. However, this is a solid, heavy set (compared to newer models) and has worked flawlessly since day one. No, the picture isn't top quality and the sound won't knock you off your feet but it's an inexpensive, well built model that will perform flawlessly for years to come. Just understand what you are purchasing.

I installed Windows 7 Beta on an old Dell Optiplex Gx260 I put in my living room to drive our Samsung flat panel. The reason I installed was that Windows XP that was on there wasn't playing well on the local network with the other machines that were running Vista. Windows 7 installed fine and resolved the networking issues, but it turned out that the manufacturer of the card that came with the Gx260 never released Vista drivers, so everything reverted to standard VGA, which wasn't fun. I ordered this card and it arrived today and I popped it in and it is working just fine. Installation was easy, no hassles whatsoever. The power supply on the Gx260 is 250w and the card seems happy with that. I am glad that this relatively cheap card has given my Gx260 a new lease on life.

I paid $2.99+tax at Frys electronics for this (sorry Amazon), In order to test up my new 24" Samsung Syncmaster LCD with a full 1080p native resolution. my decision was based on price alone. When I opened the package I was suprised by the look,feel and apparent quality of the cable. I own many other cheap (all under $5 HDMI cables and this one looks and feels much more expensive. Plugged it in and it worked exactly as I expected it to; the TMDS coded algorithm made it from my motherboard to my monitor no problem, which means; same exact picture as I would get from a 20-100$ cable.

The only reason this manufacturer loses a star is because of the outrageous claims on the packaging that any 15 year old should be able to see as invalid. Example *enables increased contrast ratio, *eliminates on screen color banding, (here is the best) *lets HDTVs display colors more accurately.

The cable is great but it wont work any better than any other HDMI cable even one from the dollar store.

I've only had it for a couple of days but the quality of viewing has improved over the Monster cable I had before. With the Monster, I used to get sound dropouts and very rough channel changes (with sound loss) when I went from regular to HD channels. None of that is happening with this new cable.

I have seen some concerns about longevity- my fingers are crossed! I have it hooked up to TV from cable box. I have not plugged and unplugged it repeatedly as others here have described.

I bought this mount based on the positive reviews that were on here. I'm glad I listened to everybody reviewing this mount! This is a great mount, that fit perfectly on my 32" Vizio. It comes will all the necessary bolts/washers you need for various wall types and various TVs. the included instructions are straightforward and easy to understand. It took me about 30 minutes to install the mount on the wall and the brackets on the t.v.

The wall mount is about 20 to 21 inches wide, so IT WILL fit between two standard 16" wide wall studs...The mount i received has a nice black finish and it is heavy duty.

Also, there is about a 2 1/2 inch leeway to the sides. For example, I moved my Vizio all the way to the left side of the mount as far as it can go. Once in that position, I can move the t.v. 2 1/2 inches to the right. So, if you were to the t.v. on the mount, you would have about an 1" or 1 1/4 inches to move each side. This was perfect for me, because i didnt want to see so the mount sticking out behind my t.v. Also, the tilt on this is easy to use and works well.

YOU cannot tell the difference between this mount and a $100/150 mount!! I know this because my brother bought a $125 mount for his Vizio, and they look the same!! I'm definitely glad i went with this product.

I also took one of the reviewers advice and purchased it through ERSE, who is listed under the MORE BUYING CHOICES. After shipping, i paid $42.00 total!!!! And ERSE shipped out the next day, so i got my mount fairly quickly!!!

I have removed my 37" INSIGNIA TV many time to run different componet wires behind the TV and through the wall. This bracket stays strong and is what I expect to pay for a hidden piece of metal mounting equipment.

I bought this wall mount because it claims to fit most 20"-40" tv's, but the bracket is not long enough for my new Vizio 37" LCD. Compare the length of the bracket you intend to buy with the distance between the mounting screws on the back of your tv before buying. Should be at least a few inches longer for correct fit. Otherwise, this product seems to be well made.

Now if only we can get higher quality cables for that price life would be great. Tiffen has been honored with two Technical Achievement Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences: one for innovative product design, and the other for its unique lamination process which gives complete control over filter color and density. In 2000, the Academy presented Nat Tiffen, one of Tiffen's founders, with a Scientific and Engineering Award for consistency in filter quality. Tiffen also received a 1998 Emmy Award for Engineering Excellence.
